It all started when…
Chi Alpha at UNO has a strategic outreach to commuter students, international students, and those who have never heard the gospel. We also train and equip Christian students to be actively engaged in living out their faith in a way that impacts others. We have 2 weekly worship services as well as Life groups that meet each week to give students an opportunity to grow in and explore faith. Our mission in Chi Alpha at UNO is to create a diverse, spirit-empowered community that lives and shares the Gospel so that UNO students will be transformed by the love of Christ. Christine & Bubba Johns serve as campus pastors.

Christine and "Bubba" are Nationally Appointed missionaries for the University of New Orleans. Christine is from Clovis, NM, but graduated from LSU where she became a student leader in Chi Alpha. She completed the Diversity Project CMiT program in 2010 and has been the campus pastor at UNO for the past 7 years. Bubba graduated from Nicholls State University, and joined his wife in 2015 to continue working together reaching students at UNO.
